Service Description

The Youth Fashion Class is built for kids and teens ages 10–18 who are ready to turn their creativity and love of style into a real skill. Over five sessions, students learn to safely operate an industrial sewing machine, read a commercial pattern, and construct wearable garments from start to finish — including an elastic-waist skirt or PJ set, a crop top or fitted t-shirt, and a lined tote bag. No prior sewing experience needed. Max 6 students. Machines provided.

Cancellation Policy

Course Policy: Kids Creative Sewing (Ages 8–12) 1. Registration & Payment Tuition: The full course fee of $350 is required to secure your child's spot. Refunds: Course fees are non-refundable once the term begins. Cancellations made at least 7 days prior to the start date are eligible for a full refund. 2. Age & Readiness Eligibility: This workshop is strictly for children ages 8 to 12. Skill Level: No prior experience is required. We start from the very beginning. Focus: Because we are working with real machinery, students must be able to follow instructions and maintain focus for the duration of the class. 3. Safety & Student Conduct Industrial Equipment: Students will be learning on industrial sewing machines. While safe when used correctly, they are powerful tools. Safety is our #1 priority. Behavior: Students must adhere to all safety guidelines taught in the first lesson. Any student demonstrating unsafe behavior or an inability to follow instructions regarding the machinery may be asked to sit out for their own safety. Dress Code: Long hair must be tied back. No dangling jewelry or scarves. Closed-toe shoes are required. 4. Materials & Supplies Machines: Machines are provided by the studio. Please do not bring personal machines. Student Kit: Students are responsible for bringing a basic kit: Fabric scissors and a measuring tape. Fabric: Please bring 4 yards of Muslin fabric (Continuous/Non-Pre-cut) to the first class. Project Fabric: A supply list for the Tote Bag and Shorts/Skirt will be provided. Please wait for the instructor's guidance before purchasing these fabrics. 5. Drop-off & Pick-up Location: 1010 Ocean Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11226 (Entrance on the corner at Newkirk Ave). Punctuality: Please ensure students are dropped off on time so they do not miss critical safety demonstrations. Please pick up promptly at the end of the session.
