Teen Fashion & Sewing Lab: From Sketch to Style (Ages 13–18)
February 7, 2026 to March 7, 2026 | 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM | 5 Weeks | Saturdays
Future designers start here.
This isn't just a sewing class—it’s a fashion studio experience. Designed specifically for teens aged 13–18, this course bridges the gap between "crafting" and real garment construction.

Whether your teen is building a portfolio for design school, wants to start their own depop shop, or just wants clothes that actually fit their unique style, this is the place to start. Students will work on professional industrial machines to learn the technical skills needed to turn their sketches into wearable reality.

What Students Will Learn:
-
Industrial Machine Mastery: How to thread, control, and troubleshoot professional-grade equipment.
-
Garment Construction: The "architecture" of clothing—seams, hems, casings, and finishing techniques.
-
Fashion Design Logic: How to read commercial patterns, take proper body measurements, and understand fabric properties.
-
Sustainability & Style: How to upcycle and alter existing clothes to create one-of-a-kind pieces.
Projects Include:
-
The Designer Tote: Mastering straight lines and durable construction (perfect for carrying art supplies or laptops).
-
Streetwear Basics: Constructing lounge shorts or an elastic-waist skirt from scratch.
-
The "Thrift Flip" / Upcycle Project: Students bring a hoodie, denim jacket, or tee from home and learn how to deconstruct and redesign it into something new.
Materials: Machines and tools are provided in class. A supply list (including 4 yards of muslin and fabric for final projects) will be sent upon registration.

No prior experience required—just bring your creativity!
